Summary
- No account, advertising, analytics SDK, or cross-app tracking.
- Preferences, broad saved places, and private Safety Notes stay on the device.
- The app does not dispatch emergency help or attach location to an emergency call.
- Preview safety context is a planning aid, not a live emergency feed.
Approximate Location
Safe Traveling asks for location permission only after you choose a map or travel-context action. Approximate location can center the map, match a broad covered area, or choose a broad area for a private Safety Note.
Emergency numbers are based on the region you select. The emergency-number flow does not request a new location fix, reverse-geocode a street, transmit coordinates, or replace the selected number.
Apple MapKit may process map searches and map content under Apple's terms and privacy practices. Safe Traveling does not receive your Apple account identifier.
Information Stored On Device
- Onboarding completion, language, and app preferences.
- Broad saved-place identifiers and travel-planning preferences.
- Private Safety Note text, category, timing, and rounded broad-area coordinates.
Safety Notes are not police reports. They are not sent to authorities, moderators, a community feed, or a verified-alert system. Deleting the app removes its local app storage from the device.
Safe Traveling Service
The first public build uses clearly labeled Preview Data and does not embed a production backend URL. If a future build enables a reviewed service, this policy and the App Store privacy answers will be updated before release to describe any transmitted search, map, route, or diagnostic data.
Emergency And Safety Boundaries
Safe Traveling is not an emergency service and does not dispatch help. Only current, manually verified, non-sample numbers can open the standard iOS phone confirmation flow.
Scores, alerts, risk zones, route options, summaries, and recommendations should be confirmed with official local guidance. They do not replace emergency instructions or local authorities.
Sharing, Children, And Contact
The current app does not sell personal data or share it for advertising. Safe Traveling is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect children's personal information.
For privacy questions or deletion requests related to a support message, use the Safe Traveling support page. Do not include exact home addresses, live coordinates, credentials, or other sensitive personal information.
